No Customer Service

6 inquiries to cancel an item that had no delivery status after 17 days of being on order for a Christmas gift and no chance of making it on time and a complete refusal by AAFES customervsetvicevto take action and/or simply cancel the item. It’s imporyant to note that this company is notorious for this kind of *** and possibly the worst on line

Beware the exchange protection plan!

Today, 19Oct18. I have received my laptop back from the claim. It was stated that no repair was conducted because there was no discernable issue. Issue 1) 100% disk issue is a major problem as attempting to do anything in normal background is exceedingly slow. This is still a problem. 2) overheating due to intermittent cooling fan failure. As in large CPU/GPU load and then you can hear the fan blades hitting the case because the bearings are failing. 3) Battery power is below expected level. While this is not critical normal wear and tear covers one battery replacement. Now it gets interesting, the customer service was abysmal. When I explained my issue the first time it was sent in the notification stated it was received for diagnostic and was repaired in 43 minutes. It was returned with the original issues. The second time it was sent in, it took 2 days to find no issues. The original issues are still there. I have taken it to a third party computer repair shop and they CONFIRMED the above issues. As far as I can tell this is a scam. I have documents to support my argument and yet the customer service reps said that they can’t speak for their techs nor can they contact them directly. Beware.

At Camp Bondsteel Kosovo they allow local national employees to shop (ransack) the PX for items they sell off base on the black market, pretty obvious when you go down town and see items for sale in stores and on table's with AAFES stickers on them. They also allow local families on base and they buy everything in sight leaving nothing for us Americans who live on base.

I thought this was an American PX and the item's are for us. All this makes AAFES a contributor to the local black market.

Returned item--wrong item sent

Update by user Sep 26, 2018

On 9/10/2018, I received a credit to my debit card for the returned item.

Original review posted by user Aug 27, 2018
They sent me the wrong item. I returned it via their online system, which generated a pre-paid Fedex Ground return label. However, 14 days after they received the item back, they cannot figure out when or if the refund is being processed, only stating "the warehouse got it back, now we have to work the ticket here and issue a refund". I have called them twice, and chatted and emailed once each. They seem totally in the dark, like they can't access information about the return on their computer system. They don't even seem to know that I initiated a return, i.e., they ask me if I mailed it, what item I returned, tracking number, etc. I can see on my own screen online the tracking number and all other pertinent information. Why they can't see this and more is beyond me. If this was a private business, they would not be around for very long.

No option to ship as gift and hiding price!

Horrendous! It is 2018, July 29th 2018 and I just got off the phone with customer service at AAFES. CS confirmed the reason I couldn't find a gift option to send something without the price shown on paperwork was because AAFES has no option to ship anything without disclosing the price!! Yet another head-banging issue with AAFES.

You are the reason why people do not take customer reviews seriously. While it is true that AAFES is horrendous, them not having a gift receipt option is totally okay, as a company they do not necessarily need to have it. You freaking out because they don't have it like it puts them in a negative light is insane.

How does a multi bububu-BILLION dollar company not have a gift receipt option. Are they that cheap to place a system for gift receipt options? Mike, stop being a Captain save a *** and not a avoid the elephant in the room.

Onder cancelled when attepting to place it.

You need to place the nickname in order. There is NO place to put a nickname to complete an ORDER. Wish we could do the K.I.S.S. method. It is much better. Now the details are TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO short and it is even more complicated. Must be a "minimum of 100 words". Not very simple any more. Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, I get the idea, IT MUST BE EXTREMELY COMPLICATED. Everyone must have a AD, BD, Masters Degree and a PHD to fill out a simple order form. Makes a lot of since. Yep, it sure would be helpful if people understood better. Oh well, I will simply call the V.A. Hotline at: 1-85*-948-**** and let our President know how hard it is to get anything done on this sight.

This is the tip of the iceberg. I have had over years of abuses by Employees of Affes at all levels .The seem to promote a Toxic environment.

It much worse ,For US Customers overseas. Black Marketing plays a role in this scheme. entrapments designed for unsuspecting arrivals to net assignments at Facilities by local venders= BLACK MARKETING RING NETWORKS operations. Complaints or returns upset the flow and if you are at a location long term .bullying harassment false complaints to COMMANDERS IS A plan A .

Plan B is network covert retaliations. extending into all departments ,mail club COMMASSARY ETC.

us personal manipulation's seductions etc. There must be a shift in this predatory practice , it is the same as BANKS mortgage lenders LEMON car sales and the like.

Cant buy gear

I understood that the exchanges for veterans would be restricted for purchasing uniform items. I see they don't allow me to purchase a DLATS duffel bag. This is crazy. What's the point of being able to shop on the exchanges? I see the same for certain boots. Depends on the boots you buy there. How is a duffel bag considered a uniform item? I see them selling at the surplus store brand new for 45 dollars, the DLATS ENHANCED DUFFEL bag. The PX sells them for 39 dollars tax free. So how is restricting an item used for travel a benefit to veterans? What's the point in allowing veterans to join the exchange when we get restricted to items beyond uniform wear? I can see not being able to purchase uniform items for wear but a duffel bag? I can buy duffel bags/sea bags all day long at the surplus store used for 9.99 in great shape. I have about 8. But I want to purchase the ENHANCED DUFFEL BAG at 39 bucks tax free at the exchange but they won't let me. Come on. Thanks for nothing.

Food and Customer Support at AAFEES Concessions is terribe. Cater to non ID Card holders and cannot perform their duties. Managers appear to be the biggest problem. Cannot supervise their employees.

I went to the Yongsan South Post Charleys at 0730 on 17 Mar 18 to have breakfast. I have not eaten there in over 6 months because of poor service and nothing happens when you complain to the manager on duty (Ms. Pak). She smiles and says sorry, but nothing happens. This morning I ordered and thought everything was ok until an elderly Korean Man entered the facility. I was talking with Ms. Pak and she said she was moving to Camp Humphreys in April. At this time the Korean man rudely interrupted our conversation. Ms. Pak was so excited she just run over to personally take his order and prepare his meal. She used the same spatula that she used on his raw steak to move my eggs which is the norm for them, but I don't like it. Nothing mattered except him. The cook finished my eggs before the pancakes were half done. I said the eggs will be cold and she said I am sorry. Ms. Pak busy taken care of the Korean man paid no attention. I walked out and did not ask for a refund. You can keep my money ... not worth the bad service for a few dollars. I have served my county over 43 years in the military and as a civilian working for the military. I have never been treated as rudely as I have here at Charleys over the years. The customers are mostly older Korean men because others do not get good service as they cater to a select few individuals. I believe all customers should be treated equally but here it is not the case and never has been. It is tolerated because nothing happens. When AAFES visits they put on a big show and everyone smiles and greets customers. A serious review of the customer service needs to be reviewed. Sending incompetent employees to other locations is not the fix. Well I have had my say and really do not expect anything to happen. At least I feel better by stating the facts and ask that someone look into this to make sure our Soldiers get good service at Charleys in the future. Thank you In addition, I have received shoddy service at the Yongsan food court for several years. I have complained to the managers (Mr. Son) and immediately saw him talking with his employees and laughing. So of course, nothing changed. My complaint was the cream beef tastes like someone added water. Cannot eat it! He told the manager of the shoppette that he had to water down the cream beef because he sold too much of it. The shoppette manager asked me to wait and talk with Mr Son’s replacement Mr Nam and I did. Mr Nam informed me that they were going to stop serving cream beef in a couple of months and no need to change the way it is. I also talked with the PX manager and was totally ignored. She said I will try to talk with Mr. Son (after I told her I had complained to him several times), but I am moving to Camp Humphreys in a few days, have important visitors today and tomorrow and don’t have much time. I guess moving incompetent people to a larger populated area takes care of their issues. I just ask that someone from AAFEES visit and check out this place unannounced to see firsthand what the Soldiers, Civilians and Contractors have to choose from for their food. No one deserves to be served the way we are. If you contact the PX management you will receive a full-fledged dog and pony show. Visit Daegu too and taste what cream beef should taste like. You will be totally surprised at the difference in taste, professionalism, quality and quantity. No need to visit Humphreys since you moved Yongsan’s best (see above) down there. Is this the best we can do? I know I will not get any resolution by submitting my frustrations about the PX services, but I do feel better getting this off my chest. At least I can get a decent fast food meal off post. Just don’t get the 10% savings on my star card.

As usual AAFES offered me food coupons for food I cannot eat. Not worth the time to complain.

I only want good food on post so we don't have to go off base to eat. Just wasting my time trying to get this fixed.I have talked to a lot of people in bowling leagues and other large groups and they all state complaining to Aafes is a waste of time.

Very true. It is sad that we cannot get Aafes to fix a food issue.AAFES should contract out their facilities if they cannot perform their duties. If I open a business and want to go broke I will obtain a business plan from AAFES.

Train the supervisors and employees to do their job instead of transferring them to Camp Humphreys. They will not get any better after the transfer.
