Manager Misrepresentation as a Director

On 6 Dec 2014 I ordered a Christmas gift (order attached) that was confirmed and in-stock. On 11 Dec 2014 I received a confirmed shipped On 15 Dec 2015 I received an email cancellation (below) notice with no cause. On 15 Dec 2015 after awaiting 30 minutes on the phone a Natasha Manager who claimed to be a Director told me "my order was cancelled; too bad too sad". I asked to speak to her boss and she told me "NO" and then hung up. Very disturbing. No reason for cancelation and no remedy to the issue. Website and Customer Service

Worst experience I've ever had with ANY company. Their website is so hosed up; won't let you fill out and submit orders. When you talk to their Customer service (after waiting 15 minutes), you get someone who clearly has no idea what day of the week it is and wants to place the order for me. No way I'm giving someone like that my CC info. Today after trying again to order, I call them - wait 40 minutes to repetitious music and finally hang up in disgust. Wound up paying more directly to the company to order through their website - at least now I know I'm getting the order. STAY AWAY FROM AAFES WEBSITE!!

Coupon Ripoff

AAFES came up with discount codes for its new web site. Sounds nice, but on the day of the coupon launch many, many popular were "Not Available" and would notify you when item was available. Amazingly, those items suddenly became available 1 day after the expiration date, and I have still not have been notified of any available items. The AAFES used to be for the serviceman, but the last couple of years they gouge the GI every chance they can. Most items, if one cares to check, are available and cheaper at Amazon. I have no problem ordering through Amazon, but I would prefer to use my Military Star card when possible. It's about time that OSI or CID initiate an investigation into price manipulations throughout the exchange.

$200 Gift card was worth $0

Bought a $200 Christmas gift card for my nephew in England. Made sure it was early enough to get it to him. He received and took it to the BX and was told it did not have any money on it. Took 3 calls and an hour and a half to finally get my Chase Visa credited, but the catch is that I have to have him mail the gift card back to me then back to AAFES. The explanation that I that they were having problems with cards and it was sometimes taking 30 days to activate the money on the card. Also, if I don't mail the gift card back within 30 days they will charge my Visa again. So, I have paid to mail a bogus gift card to England, my nephew will have to pay to mail it back to me, I will have to pay to mail it back to AAFES. 21 years in the service and have never had an issue with AAFES until the last month! Not sure what happened, but no more business from me. Oh, I still have to get something to my nephew for Christmas.
